Broadcast journalist Hein Ungerer is developing a series of television production workshops aimed specifically at animal activists. He would like some idea of how many people would be interested in attending and invites interested people to contact him on kisambo@iafrica.com.

The plan is to run these workshops mainly over weekends – Saturdays and Sundays – to accommodate people who work during the week. But they can also be run during the week, depending on the interest. The workshops can also be run in any of the major cities or towns.

These courses will teach you how to plan, shoot and edit your own video stories and convert them ready for upload onto the internet. The workshops will include sections on interviewing, writing for television and narration.

It’s important to emphasize that these workshops will only teach you the basics, and although not enough for that oscar, they will provide you with a beginners understanding of how to go about producing a video story that other people will understand and want to watch.
